The Choir of Saints has discovered the fountain of life and the door to Paradise. May I also find the way through repentance. I am the sheep that is lost: O Savior, call me back and save me.

    The quote is from the memorial service for those who have fallen asleep in the Lord in the Orthodox Church. I noticed that when I recently re-read Markedies’ Mountain of Silience — by this time, I have heard it so many times, that I can almost chant the service myself.
