The Church has given us a gift, not only in the yearly celebration of Christmas day, but also the Christmas season of 12 days. After the boxes are unpacked, don’t forget that reflection of the Incarnation cannot be limited to one day. Tell someone ‘Merry Christmas’ tommorrow and see what kind of a shocked look you get! If we are going to celebrate the great Feast, why not celebrate the season!
From the collect of Christmas Day:
Almighty God, you have given your only begotten Son to
take our nature upon him, and to be born this day of a pure
virgin: Grant that we, who have been born again and made
your children by adoption and grace, may daily be renewed
by your Holy Spirit; through our Lord Jesus Christ, to whom
with you and the same Spirit be honor and glory, now and
for ever. Amen.

I appreciate your use of Anglican resources a/o late. It’s nice to see an Anglican be Anglican.
tee hee. . . as opposed to what, C? A crazy charismatic? ha ha
Do I detect a wee bit of disguised umbrage taken Mi Amiga? Btw, you probably wouldn’t want to hear my answer to your rhetorical question.
Of course, I jest my friend. Just a little friendly counterpunching for kicks. It’s been so quite on Padre’s Blog a/o late. Some occasional sparring would be fun.
No umbrage here Mon Ami! Just boredom . . . I’ve been stuck inside for two days with a monster of a cold . . .
Feel better Angevoix. Try a “Hot Tottie.” It might do the trick.
Glad to have y’all back. It seems like I’ve been blasted busy since Guadalajara. I agree C. I think I am comfortable with my Anglicanism these days. It is one crazy communion, esp. the Western Provinces, but it is still the third largest communion in the world. And the BCP still surpasses the other liturgies of the English-speaking world…
Hope you feel better Ange…
Any english translations too–i.e. from the Greek? I hope that’s your feelings bro, but of course, as always, to each his own.
Naturally, English-speakers do a better job at English language liturgy than Italians and Greeks do at translating into English.
